1st Awakening: General [DnF/DFOG] Viper [NEXON DFO]

2nd Awakening: Commander [DnF] Marshall [DFOG]

    WORKS IN PROGRESS
    What is a Spitfire?
"The Spitfire is a Gunner with a penchant for harnessing magic. He specializes in infusing elemental power into projectiles and explosives to maximize damage over large areas. At level 50, the Spitfire awakens as the Viper.
His subclass cosmetic feature is a gun magazine on his back."
Spitfires are gunners that are dept in using both Magic and Physical skills, thus making this subclass a hybrid. Spitfires are known to be the Jack-of-All Trades for the Gunner Subclass, adept at everything yet masters of non.

    Equipment/Basic Info:
    Armor: Leather
Weapon: Musket or Bowgun. Revolver (Ranger Rod Only)
    Element: Light, Water, and Fire

    SKILLS
    [IMG]
    Lets get started shall we?

    ===:COMMON GUNNER SKILLS:===
    [IMG] Jack Spike
    - Leave at 1
    - Jack Spike is the MGunner Launcher along with Rising, it gives Super Armor or SA upon use. Great Utility for staying up from enemy attacks

    [IMG] Rising Shot
    - Leave at 1
Pure percent skill, just leave it at one since we don't need to launch enemies in PvE

    [IMG] Mach Kick
    - Leave at Lv. 1
    - You get the Skill when you get the subclass

    [IMG] Windmill
    - Leave it at Lv. 1 or Zero

    [IMG] Punisher
    - Leave it at Lv. 1
    - A great skill utility wise, it gives Invincible Frames and creates a shock wave that downs any close non-SA enemy near. Great when surrounded by enemies.

    [IMG] BBQ
    - Leave it at Lv. 1
    - Gives Invincibility Frames when using the skill.
    - Note that you can not launch Super Armored Enemies and unlaunchable enemies

    [IMG] Aerial Fire
    - SP Dump for MSpits (Magical)
    - Zero/Max for Physical
    - Max Aerial Fire with Physical Build will require a set gear (More on this later)
    - Allows you to fire more bullets in air
    - Not as impressive for MSpits due to the class being more of a ground class than our aerial capable sister, the FSpit.

    [IMG] M-137 Gatling Gun
    - Spits get this when getting the subclass
    - Just leave it alone, no point in increasing its level, even with the magic change as we have better skills.

    [IMG] M-3 Flamethrower
    - Zero for Magical Spitfires as Blaze Bullet should be Maxed
    - Zero or One for Pure Physical: Certain stages have gimmicks that require fire damage

    [IMG] RX-78 Land Runner
    - One Lv. Should be enough
    - You get this skill when you subclass into a Spitfire

    ===:SPITFIRE SKILLS:===

    [IMG][IMG] Musket Mastery/Bowgun
    - Choose one and max it

    [IMG] G-14 Buster
    - [20 SP]
    - You can leave this at Lv. 1 or Max
    - Magical Fixed
    - Conversional Skill: Can be Physical
    - Does 50% more damage to enemies with status effects

    [IMG] Silver Bullet
    - [15 SP]
    - Lv. 0 or Max
    - First Spitfire bullet buff
    - Deals extra dmg to the Undead, Demon, and Spirit type monsters
    - Ex would give more damage and more bullets
    - Useful in Ov3 as 2 of the Stages [Void and Black Earth] are undead, spirit or demon type enemies

    [IMG] Flash Mine
    - [25 SP]
    - Lv. 5 or Max
    - Fixed Damage, pure physical skill, and pure stun at best
    - Honestly, I say that this is a must max for any build, damage is great and the Stun Proc is really good at soloing or party play

    [IMG] Buster Shot
    - [35 SP]
    - Lv. 0 or Max
    - Concentrate your Buffed ammo into a single shot
    - 100% Pierce
    - Somewhat of a Hybrid, the 1st dmg is Fixed while the 2nd Dmg [BulletBuff] is Percent

    [IMG]Bullet Burster

    - [100 SP]
    - Max for Both
    - Single Level Mastery
    - Does Good Damage, on par with Buster Shot with full TP

    [IMG] Freeze Bullet
    - [25 SP]
    - Max for Magical
    - Zero or Max for Physical
    - The Freeze proc is dandy so I would max this for the status Proc
    - Deals extra damage to beast and humans
    - Magic Percent

    Blaze Bullet
    - [30 SP]
    - Zero for Physical
    - Max for Magical
    - Provides more hits due to the explosion
    - Elec Proc + Blaze is one of the hardest damaging dps skills we have
    - You can break the Freeze proc in Freeze Nade or bullet when used against an enemy
    - Magic Percent

    Armor-Piercing Rounds
    - [30 SP]
    - Zero for Magical Spitfires
    - Max for Physical Spitfires
    - Physical Based Bullet Buff
    - Physical Percent

    [IMG] G-35L Flash Bang
    - [25 SP]
    - Max this for Magical, the damage is the weakest of all the Spitfire grenades but were not looking for the damage but for the Elec proc
    - Zero or Max for Physical but I'd opt to max out other skills first.
    - You can dish about 3 - 5k ticks or even more when the enemy is in Elec Proc
    - Magic Fixed

    G-18C Freeze Grenade
    - [40 SP]
    - Must Max for both Magical and Physical, Big Damage and Freeze Proc, What's not to love?
    - Deals the most damage out of all the grenades unless if the enemy has a status affliction then Buster is stronger
    - Does Freeze Proc
    - Magic Fixed

    Crossmore
    - [25 SP]
    - Fires a shotgun like blast which covers a wide y-axis and can hit airborne enemies when she/he is in its proximity
    - A very good skill for getting space back, note that SA'd enemies can not get push back
    - Zero or Max for Magical
    - Max for Physical
    - Physical Percent
    - The Closer the skill is used, the higher the damage output is going to be

    C4 Remote Control
    - [40 SP]
    - Lv. 5 or Max, the Slow proc in C4 is dandy, You can spam your bullets more easily with the slow proc hence why C4 is a skill worth looking at
    - Throws 5 C4 packets at the enemy
    - Does a slow proc on the hitted enemy
    - Physical Fixed

    Napalm
    - [50 SP]
    - Lv. 0, 1 or Max
    - Unleash a charged shot at explodes upon contact in the ground
    - Hold the skill to charge
    - The skill is mgc based
    - Leaves a burned ground that deals fixed tick damage
    - Breaks Freeze Proc

    Neil the Sniper
    - [60 SP]
    - Lv. 0 for Magical
    - Max for Physical
    - X for Fire / Z for Autofire / C for Cancel
    - Neil is a Physical fixed skill that dishes out Stun Proc
    - 5 Shots at base
    - Under SA, Only Super Grabs would work like Neck Snap
    - Some Gear like Chron 2 or 3 can add more shots to Neil

    Dual Flicker
    - [30 SP]
    - "Increases speed of bullet and distance it travels for normal attack. Fires additional bullet at certain chance."
    - A Must max skill, increase bullet speed and distance with a chance of firing an extra bullet? Yes Please.

[IMG] Special Force - 'Black Roses'
    - [80 SP]
"Calls forth Black Rose the Special Force. Each female agent possess different weapon, consecutively firing in different time interval. Press the skill key again for all-out attack, which forcefully sends the agents away once the attack is over. The user stays under super armor during the all-out attack."
    - Levels up with player level
    - Physical Percent
    - Press the Skill again to put it in concentrated fire mode
    - Really good skill, easier to control than ever now due to having concentrated fire. Does a lot of DPS damage, great in conjunction with Flash Bang for damage and hitstun to stop bosses from moving.

    M-61 Mine
    - [80 SP]
    - Max
    - Deals Stun Proc
    - In a Nutshell: An upgraded Flashmine
    - Fires a bomb after the first explosion
    - Phy or Mgc
-Note that you can't summon another one until the old one exploded

    Flying C4
    - [120 SP]
    - Max
    - Throws a flying C4 that ricochets when it hits
    - 3 C4's
    - Ricochets 3 times
    - Physical or Magical, depends on conversion.

    2nd Awakening

    War Hero
    - Max
    - Skill got the Plus Skill Damage Bandage, it makes your skills stronger.

    [IMG] G-38ARG Reactive Grenade
    - Max
    - The skill gives decent DPS and the damage is nice.
    - The bullets affect the skill by itself and the grenade change properties whenever a bullet is used. AP gives more dps, Silver gives shock explosions and so forth

    [IMG] Danger Close
    - Max Magical
    - Max Physical
    - It does mediocre damage but it does come up within the ammount of procs such as Freeze, Napalm Like Ground, and Shock the skill gives.

    [IMG] Super Nova
    - Max
    - The skill damage on this is not great by all means, however, the hitstun the skill provides is pretty nifty
    - Some enemies can walk through Super Nova but those are usually encountered in Otherverse

    GENERAL SKILLS

    Quick Rebound or QR
    - GET THIS SKILL NO MATTER WHAT
    - This skill is the ultimate ass saver
    - Press and hold C/Jump while downed to get Invincible frames up to 3s
    - Gets .03s Invincible frames when standing up

    Ancient Memory
    - Gives Extra Int
    - Sp Dump Skill at best

    Magic Critical Hit
    - Gives a permanent boost to Magic Crit [+10 Percent]
    - Max, having to crit usually means more damage.
    - Lv. 0 for Physicals

    Magic Rear Attack
    - [20 SP]
    - Lv. 0 or Max [Optional]
    - Ehh... This Skill is mostly effective when back attacking, SP Dump Skill

    Throw Mastery
    - No real use in PvE
    - 0 everyday

    Leap
    - Zero
    - Literally useless in PvE.

    Indomitable Spirit
    - Zero, not really a useful skill in PvE. We're not a heavy casting class such as Mech.

    SPITFIRE EX
    Basic Training Upgrade
    - Zero, it only affects the regular XXX string which has low damage numbers anyways.

    Magical Attack Change
    - [0 TP]
    - For Magical Spitfires, get get get get, the description speaks for itself.
    - "Changes Crossmore, C4, Flashmine, M-61 Mine and Flying C4 from physical to magical damage"

    Napalm Upgrade
    - [2 TP]
    - Max if you maxed Napalm but other than that, just leave it alone.

    Silver Bullet Upgrade
    - [1 TP]
    - Max if you got Silver Bullet Maxed
    - In a Nutshell: You get more dmg and bullets

    Blazing Bullet Upgrade
    - [2 TP]
    - Max for Magical Spitfire, Blaze Bullet is one of our Staple skills.
    - Fires a bullet with the strength of 2 bullets, triple explosion, and increased Dmg: +60 Percent. With all of these goodies? Max and Yes Please

    Freeze Bullet Upgrade
    - [2 TP]
    - Max, same with Blaze
    - At Maxed the increase Dmg will be +70 Percent, Freeze proc will be +10 Percent

    AP Bullet Upgrade
    - Max for Physical Spitfires

    Flashmine
    - Max for Physical
    - Extra Mine and better damage and stun is pretty great.

    Buster Shot Upgrade
    - [2 TP]
    - Max (Optional)
    - Get this if your a Buster Shot spammer, other than that, leave it alone.

    G-18c Freeze Grenade Upgrade
    - [4 TP]
    - Player Reference for Magical
    - Opt to max this as a Physical Spitfire, Freeze Grenade is a highly spammable skill and it works wonders in tangent with Physical Spitfire skills
    - Increase Nade Load by 2 and Freeze Lv by 2
    - DOESN'T increase Damage
    - Decreases post-tossing delay by 50%

    G-35L Flash Bang Upgrade
    - [4 TP]
    - Increase Nade Load by 1 and Elec Proc Lv by 2
-Load and Elec Proc is increased
    - Player Reference

    C-4 Remote Control Upgrade
    - [2 TP]
    - Not as great of TP as the others as it doesn't increase length of the C-4 throw, mostly a TP dump unless you're really into C-4
    - Attack and Explosion Range, +10 percent per Level

    Neil the Sniper Upgrade
    - [2 TP]
    - Player Reference (Optional)
    - Increases Dmg by 5 percent per Lv.
    - Increase Reticule Spd by 10 percent per Lv.
    - Reduces Post Delay shots by 10 percent per Lv.
    - Other TPs are better to max but only max this whenever you get an armor setting based around Neil

    Avatars
    Hat: Int/Spirit/Cast Speed
    Hair: Int/Spirit/Cast Speed

Int: Must for magic build, it's practically increasing a bit of damage
Spirit: For Magic build, it's a great substitute but if you can get Int, get int. For Physical, the MP increase helps with how Flash Mine sucks MP and Sprit gives MP Regen which is a plus
Cast Speed: Just to make casting skills faster, gotta go fast. If you can deal with slight inconveniences in casting skills, go with Spirit or Int
    Torso: Attack Speed
    Face: Attack Speed
Top: Neil, Freeze Nade, Flash Mine, Musket Mastery, Dual Flicker
    Bottom: Silver Bullet, G-14, Int
    Shoes: Str

    Emblems
    Red:
    Intelligence
    Yellow: Attack Speed
    Green: Magical Critical Hit
    Blue: Hit Rate
    Red/Green Dual
    Intelligence/Magical Critical Hit
    Yellow/Blue Dual
    Attack Speed/Hit Rate
    Platinum
    G-18 Freeze Grenade +1
    Neil the Sniper +1
    C4 Remote Control +1
    Napalm +1

I saw Ring earlier, if you want to ask him for help with the phys portion of the guide, but phys is pretty self explanatory.
In the meantime, someone find Rev.

It's great to finally see the 2nd Awakening skills translated because now I can weigh their potential as an SP investment.
Aside from that, are you planning on updating your guide? Quite a bit of it is out of date such as the removal/integration of certain skills (booster bullet), minimum requirements (silver bullet and g-14 grenade), buffs/changes to certain skills (magical attack change now includes crossmore and Black Roses), and lastly, the SP cost of the 1st awakening ( it no longer requires any SP to max). Here's my current idea for a magic build for the Lv. 85 cap.

This guide is from like early June. I doubt he'll be here to add any more to it soon, but possibly when March comes around.

Also, AFAIK cancels were removed and automatically integrated into some(if not all applicable) skills.

IMO I really don't see a reason to do a Magic build on an M. Spit anymore. With Female Gunner 2nd. Awakenings it seems like F. Spit does a flat out better job at a Magic Build than a male could do simply because she has more tools at her disposal for it (Grenade Mastery, throwable mines, she practically fire them all with no-delay, her level 75 passive and level 75 buff). Male Spitfire is probably still better at Physical Builds than his female counterpart though.

All cancels got merged with the skills that had them previously. Any skill that didn't have a cancel still doesn't have one. Another thing outdated by this guide is that QP no longer exists and is replaced by the Dimensional Seal system which basically gives you all the QP stats and at a much higher total than before.

Yep, Magical Spitfires are for FSpits now with their 2nd awakening. Physical Spitfire is also great after tinkering with it in DFOG
Also going to edit this in the weekends, just busy with work for now

Yes, TP AP should always be maxed for Physical Spits. Forgot to finish the TP Section, my bad.

What a nice guide that you made. Good work Teku.

Two minor notes with Crossmore, it is in fact Physical Percentage rather than physical fixed. You should also make note that it deals higher damage the closer you are to any given target.

It increases chance for getting extra bullets out and increase attack range, both makes bullets spammable at long range. Not as recommended as before but since we don't have Cash Shop yet, I don't know all the possible skills added to Tops.

What do you mean not recommended as before? I have my clone ava top and I'm wondering which skill to get. The thing is I haven't decided on whether I want to do a phys/magic build in the end so I was thinking of picking Dual Flicker (not to mention I haven't finalized whether I wanted to use muskets or bowguns).

I don't ever remember Dual Flicker being an available Top Option. At least in DFO Nexon.

    Ever.

Awakening passives and actives are now able to be attained on avatars (at least the clone ones)

I'm guessing since 2nd awakenings are coming up

You can get both Awakening Passives and Actives on Tops now. This includes all 2nd. Awakening skills too.
