Here are the new buffed effects (KDNF only at the moment of posting) for all lv75+ epic swords for all your Slayer's end-game needs. I think the point was to make sure all epic weapons were better than Liberation weapons, since it was silly how some were inferior before.

I wont bother listing the Lv70- ones since they arent end-game material.
I wont bother listing common weapon stats like +2 m.crit on short swords, +2 p.crit on katana's e.t.c.
Also, some of the more OP swords didnt get buffed and stayed the same.

Note: All "Buff" type effects cannot be swapped and will disappear if weapon is removed.

Probably Kusanagi since it does Chaos-specific buffs, I just dont know what those skills are in the translation.

Kusanagi also looks like the best short sword for Asuras. Invisible Sword Arges and Blitz Jenning look nice too. I don't even know where to begin with WMs, though. They have so many options.

WM benefits from anything but Kusanagi and Seven-Branch Blade, so use whatever drops lolz.

Nobody's ever going to see a Blitz Jenning though, since it's one of those Hell Mob unique Epics that only drops from a specific APC. I think one of the lV75 Greatswords are Hell Mob unique as well.

This epic blugeon had a 4th option to receive invincibility state prior to the current change. There's no cosmetic changes to your character like the above status until you get hit. Damages received show as -1 HP for each hits. Oh well, it's all in the past now.. (this buff isn't really needed anyways)

I can see the rage in Tower of Despair when someone fights a character's APC with this katana equipped. Enjoy getting that reflect damage huehue :V

I just looked at it in-game from the Equiptionary and the effect is that using Battering Ram and Drill Slash will each give a stack of Transgenic. Transgenic is the Awakening Passive that gives you a short lasting INT buff that stacks up to 5 times when you summon or sacrifice demons.

That's actually really good because normally Transgenic is hard to maintain due to how short the stacks last. It still might be a little hard to maintain even with this Epic Short Sword since the Transgenic buff only lasts for 10 seconds and both of these skills have a 12 and 15 second cooldown respectively.

That actually happened to me lol. I didnt even know WTF was going on until after the 2nd death, then I noticed the sword. Had to bait out the effect with invincible grabs before going ham :bang:

Sucks to be a Hardcore character and run into one of these though, you might as well accept you're going back to level 1.

Oh I see, I'll update the sword info with what you said

Which sword would be best for a Vagabond? More importantly, which sword looks the coolest? Because appearance > stats.

    Gentetsu Greatsword (Lv75):
    -Move speed -10%
    -Attack speed -20%
-Melee weapon damage increase by 50%. (you should have more than enough attack speed to compensate)
    Yang Sword: Gan Jian (Lv85):

    -Fire Element
    -Fire Damage +40
    -Fire Resist +18
-Up, Down, Creature Skill key consumes 2 red cube fragments to activate "Force of Yang" buff for 60s (60s CD). While buff is active:
---Apply Fire and Light element on weapon to everyone in the party.
---Physical critical rate +10%, Fire Damage +30.
---For every 1 Fire Damage you have, Light Damage +1 (Cap at 70)
    ---Critical Damage +15%.
-If another party member has "Yin Sword - Mak-Ya" equipped:
---Attacks deal 20% additional fire damage. (pretty legit imo)
    Yagurushu Ayamuru (Lv75):
-Up, Down, Creature Skill key consumes 2 clear cube fragment to activate 1 of 3 buffs at random for 20s (20s CD):
    ---Attacks deal 35% additional damage.
---Cast Super Armor, counter hits deal 35% additional damage.
---Cast Camouflage, back attacks deal 35% additional damage. (seems legit for pretty much all physical damage Slayer/FSlayers)

    Angry Hercules (Lv80):
-For every 100 Str you have, Str +15 (Cap at 300)
-While HP is at 100%, Str +100.
-For every 10% HP lost from 100%, Str +200 (Cap at 1000)
-Attacks have a 5% chance to inflict stun.
Note: Basically, you will always have +400 str by default, and can go up to +1300 str when HP is at 50% or lower. (also legit)
    Screaming Queen of Pain (Lv80):
    -Dark Element
    -Dark Damage +30
    -Slayer Secret Technique skill +2
    -Dual Wielding skill +5
    -Attack Speed +10%
-Casting Overdrive or Unyielding Desire will activate a buff for 40s (40s CD):
    ---Attack Speed +20%
    ---Move Speed +20%
    ---Attack Power +15%
---Attacks have a 3% chance to cast "Scream of Pain" (FNen's Lion Roar with no Stun but multi-hits, good damage, no CD)
-Dark Knight can trigger this buff as a 1% chance on attacks (40s CD). (good for buff and switch imo)
    Balmung (Lv85):

    -Overdrive skill +2
    -Unyielding Desire skill +2
-Damage increase by 5% for every empty skill hotkey (60% max) (This would probably be the best if you didn't want to use a GS, since outside of a few skills you just press xxxxxxxxxxxx anyway. It'd be reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaally easy to free up hotkeys.)

No idea on looks though :V

Cloudsplitter is the best Greatsword if you can stack enough hit-rate to compensate the -15 hit. But unlike M.SLayers, Vagabond dont get a mastery that grants tons of hit rate so it'll be harder for them. They might need to give up their skin and aura emblem slots for Gold Hit Rate ones.

Also Im not sure if all of Vagabond's attacks are considered Melee/close-range type since theres a lot of energy/projectile moves, so Gentetsu might not even work on those moves.

Balmung would be the best weapon for sure next to Cloudsplitter. Yang Sword is decent as well.

Any of them would be beneficial to Vagabond since they can wear all weapons, similar to WM, except for Kusanagi and Seven-Branched Blade.

As far as appearance goes, Yang Sword is ugly as sin, Cloudsplitter looks like a cool giant katana despite being a GS. Balmung looks cool. All lv80 epics are recolored versions of lv80 pinks.

Yanda, what ss does your weapon master use and would it be appropriate for end game Asura? My guess is not so much, but what's the best short sword (if thats the best way to go, Im assuming it is) for end game Asura? Or what are the options I suppose?

I have Yin Sword. It isnt bad for Asura but there's better options.

Best Asura Short sword is either Kusanagi or Invisible Sword. Bone Red Dragon can cheese Anton sub-bosses to death and can be top tier there.

But even weapons like Cloudsplitter are potentially top picks for them.

Fun Fact I discovered yesterday while messing around:

The "Lion Roar" that procs off of Screaming Queen of Pain ignores enemy defense. It wrecked those shield guys in GT from the front, and it wrecked Tiamat in room 2 of Black Earth.

The more you know. Really handy against mobs/bosses with obnoxious anti-burst defensive gimmicks.

I wonder what they'll do with Dark Templar's Kusanagi Sword bonus now that Dark Templar's Congest can build off of all her skills.

I don't thin I saw a mention of it in the test notes but I can't check right now due to maintenance.

I dont know jack about DT but do Conjest have multiple stacked levels? Because if so, it just means those skills will give 2 stacks instead of 1.

Because for asura, it basically means Ice and Fire wave sword will each generate 2 runes instead of 1.

I just checked in game and the effect got changed for Dark Templar.

It's new effect increases Congest's damage boost. It makes Congest give 4% damage increase per stack instead of 3% damage per stack now.
