There is now a both option, this poll was cause was talking to a friend about controller users and how id say prolly 30% of dfo uses a controller. And so far seems atleast 20-30% def does use a controller. Was brought up cause someone im in a chat with mentioned how they felt like dfo would be bad on controller, but Ive always considered dfo perfect for controller if you are inclined towards that kinda control scheme.

In all honesty, if it wasnt for the fact that you can use controllers for dfo. Not sure I would still be playing it to this day. Heck...I cant even recall using a keyboard to play dfo, and I know I must have in the early first few days of finding out about the game. o_O

  3. I play with logitech f710 or my Hori sticks depending on how I am feeling.

I started with a ps2 controller, then 3, now im using a ps4 controller. 4 is best for me atm.

  5. I play with Keyboard, and there's a little history due to me having used to play arcade-fighting games via emulator using a keyboard back in the day. because of this I got used to playing 2d action styled games such as this on keyboard, and it works. While inputs aren't 100% smooth due to numerous possible hiccups (lag, sore joints, etc), it feels natural, and shifting to hotkeys is beyond easy with it.

I find keyboard controls to be absolutely unplayable for me in basically any game so controller it is. stuck with a 360 pad though since I'm too lazy to figure out how to configure a ps3 controller to work with the game in a way that doesn't make XIGN throw a hissy fit...

i play with a gamecube controller because it's kinda the only thing my brute force i exert while playing will not kill (nintendo controllers will out live the human race). also kinda have no cash inflow atm, so i cannot afford to use a controller i can break. also any combo or fighting game, (even with rpg/mmo elements) does not feel right on anything but controller (console player here). so with all that said and done. . . controller is the only way i can play. i refuse to play on keyboard because it would feel wrong, like i am being violated by doing it.also kinda new so i need to figure out how to actually configure the game to play with a gamecube controller actually now that i think about it.

  8. i play on a controller because:
    1. that's probably what DNF in general was initially designed for
    2. there's no official support for it
    3. i'd rather not risk the possibility of XIGNCODE equating third-party controller support with screen-wiping hacks

I've only known how to play with my keyboard. Haven't tried to set up a controller to DFO. I figured it would be harder than just playing with the keyboard.

At the moment I'm playin on keyboard, but I plan on using my PS4 controller when F.Priest comes out.
I always manually input all skills so it's not really a biggie and I also played on controller before, I don't use D-Pad though.
I'm too used to using local arcade machines (been playing arcade games since I was like 7) so I might as well buy an arcade stick in the future.

Keyboard because it's the closest thing to a arcade cabinet minus the obvious joystick.

Part of me wants to say neither. Why? Because given how badly dfo supports controllers ("I DUNNO WHAT A F***IN TRIGGER BUTTON IS" :disgust:), I'm more so playing with xpadder. lol Still, I play everything on controller (DS4 at the moment) if the game makes it possible to translate everything into it. You can't pay me to keyboard.
