    For those who dare say that demon slayers are female berserkers........... don't play this class or any female slayer class at all.

    The Demon Slayer are knights who use a long demon blade for battle. This demon blade is made with the spirit of three demons – Deimus, Phnom, and Kelkus. Sword Demon Deimus is a demon made of pure energy who is said to have been a powerful swordsman in the past. Demon slayers make a contract with Deimus to receive the power to wield the demon blade. Phnom is a snake demon who is responsible for making the sword all curvy and sexy. These demons that the Demon Slayers summon are usually hostile, so the Demon Slayers must have great willpower or they will be taken over by the demons.

    Demon slayer are a physical percent class that uses great swords (zanbatos) as their weapon. They wear heavy armor. Their cosmetic effect is Deimus appearing behind them.
    I only know pre-rebalance stuff (what cDnf has) and some post-rebalance (current Kdnf) so bear with me because I'm using google translate for rebalance stuff.

    [​IMG] Heaven cleaver: Transforms the Demon Slayer's weapon into a whip sword. Increases her hit rate and hit recovery. It also slightly increases the range of her basic attacks (Jump, dash and x string) and makes each of them deal 2 hits per attack. The basic attack combo has 4 attacks instead of 3, and all attacks and skills that use her sword have a chance to inflict bleed.
    Pre-rebalance: The max level for this skill is 20 at level 72. You have to cast this skill when entering dungeon because all her skills require her to have her sword transformed. If you are interrupted during the cast you are screwed and have to wait for the cooldown because you can't do anything.

    Post-rebalance: This skill becomes a 1 level max skill and becomes a passive. Entering a dungeon automatically changed your sword to whip sword without having to cast it. It still gives the same stats, but the x-strings have been changed 5 attack


    [​IMG] Soaring Blades- Draw: Plunges the Demon Slayer’s sword into the ground, sending three of exploding pillars in front of it.
    Pre-rebalance: You have super armor when thrusting the sword into the ground, but afterward if you get hit the skill stops. If you are not interrupted then you are stuck in the animation until all of your pillars finish coming out of the ground. If you miscalculated enemies location or miss them your are also stuck in the animation until its over. Barrage's thrust does have a knock back to help ensure that all pillars.

    Post-rebalance: You still have super armor but you can still get interrupted after the thrust. However, you can now jump cancel out of the skill therefore you can get out of the animation if you were to miscalculate enemies location or downright miss them.


    [​IMG] Berserk: Deimus possesses the Demon Slayer. Increases str, movement speed, and attack speed while decreasing defenses.
    Pre-rebalance: Increases str by 611, movement speed by 12.5% and attack speed by 12.5%, while decreasing defenses by 30% at max level. This is one of your main buff. The thing is its duration is only 40 second with a cooldown of 40 second.

    Post-rebalance: Increases str by 900. It also has a percent chance (61% at max) to apply a new status called wound. Monster hit by blood demon seal, blood doppelganger, demon sword obliteration, predator Galloah, and destiny of Phnom when wounded receive extra damage (14.9% at max). The duration was also increased to 60 second, cooldown still 40. Defense reduction was also removed. I am not sure about movement speed and attack speed.


    [​IMG] Soaring Blades- Thrash: Demon slayer swings the whip sword 3 times in front of her.
    Pre-rebalance: Swings gets longer after each swing. This has incredible reach. The third swing causes a shockwave. It's a really good skill for keeping enemies away. But damage wise its terrible.

    Post-rebalance: Swing animation gets modified and the third swing no longer causes a shockwave. Instead it will pull enemies toward the demon slayer. Damage value was also increased. Over all its a good skill now and worthy of maxing.


    [​IMG] Soaring Blades- Impale: Lashes the whip sword in front of the Demon Slayer pushing enemies away then attempts to throw them over the Demon Slayer's head (mob weight matters).
    Pre-rebalance: This is your only grab skill, other then execution (general female slayer skill). There is super armor when activating the skill. There's also invincible frame as well. It can grab multiple enemies and is good at gather mobs. Doing combo with this skill is easy. The downside is the skill doesn't do full damage against ungrabable enemies without the TP skills. It can grab enemies that are behind the demon slayer, but they have to be close enough to grab.

    Post-rebalance: Does full damage to ungrabable enemies now.


    [​IMG] Blade retraction: Swings the whip sword in front of the Demon Slayer, dragging them into point-blank range
    Pre-rebalance: There is an initial windup that does damage before the demon slayer thrust the sword forward stabbing anything in the way. She then pulls the enemies towards her. This skill has the ability to interrupt enemies.

    Post-rebalance: The initial windup gets deleted and all the damage value is converted to the other two parts. Still has to ability to interrupt enemies.


    [​IMG] Wild Thrash: The Demon Slayer repeatedly flails her whip sword in a wide area around herself.
    Pre-rebalance: There's a total of 8 hits. The first 7 draws enemies towards the demon slayer while the last hit launches them away. There is super armor during the skill duration. Causes bleeding.

    Post-rebalance: The total hit count is now 12. By rapidly pressing the attack key/skill key you flail your sword faster. You can also jump cancel out of the skill.


    [​IMG] Soaring Blades- Reinforce: increases the damage of Snake Sword – Barrage, Whip Sword – Funnel, Whip Sword – Silence, Death Tide, and Hardened Spiral
    Pre-rebalance: Increase damage of above skill for 120 second

    Post-rebalance: Not much changed beside damage value increasing.


    [​IMG] Blood Majin: Consumes some of the Demon Slayer's HP to summon a blood seal that attaches to a mob, slowing down the movement speed of mobs in the area and in a set time exploding in a finishing attack.
    Pre-rebalance: No super armor so if you are interrupted you just wasted you hp,mp, and cube. The damage is really good and the puddles of goo that it leaves behind does fix damage, Unfortunately the hit box for the goo are small so you have to try to keep monsters on it if you want to do the the amazing damage potential of this skill.

    Post-rebalance: You have super armor now.


    [​IMG] Bleeding blades: Swings the DS’s sword in a careless manner several times followed by a high damage finisher. Bleed proc. Consumes 1 clear cube fragment.
    Pre-rebalance: Has a multi-hit of 10 counts and bleeds enemies. The finisher will launch enemies away from you.


    Post-rebalance: Rapidly tapping the attack skill makes the skill faster. Finisher will not launch enemies away from you but will ground them instead.


    [​IMG] Sanguine Choreography: Summons Krong, an illusion that has the looks of a silhouette of the Demon Slayer and attacks with 1 of each of the following for every enemy nearby: Whip Sword – Barrage, Hardened Spiral, Whip Sword – Silence, Death Tide, and Blood Dance. Skills all have percent modifiers compared to the Demon Slayer’s use. Super armor during activation. Consumes 1 clear cube fragment
    Pre-rebalance: Description. This skill is amazing against tightly gathered mobs. Against 1 enemy its decent depending on what skill the doppel uses. The skill doppel use are random. If you have a chronicle set that buffs a skill it will effect doppel. For example, if you have 9 piece whispering mines, doppel's barrage will have the 9 piece effect.

    Post-rebalance: Skills that doppel used are changed to match the rebalance version of the described skills. Percent modifiers increased.


    [​IMG] Sword Demon Strike: The Demon Slayer leaps forward a great distance and summons Demius where she lands. Demius will then preform an 8-attack combo then disappear. If the skill key is pressed again during the leap, the Demon Slayer will lash out with her whip sword and Demius will "stick" to the first enemy she hits.
    Pre-rebalance: Description. Lag will make you miss your target and just jump over them, so Demius will not stick to the enemy, so be careful. Good for traveling.

    Post-rebalance: You are able to attach Demius to enemies without having to do a giant leap across the room. All you have to do is jump and press the skill.


    [​IMG] Offering for the Greedy: Increases the HP threshold and proc chances for Demonic Power and adds additional fixed damage against immobilized targets by it. Whenever an enemy is killed by Demonic Passive a mist is generated granting an increased skill damage buff that stacks. All parameters are specified (i.e. may be affected by skill level). Initially stacks up to 5 times
    Pre-rebalance: Don't even touch it. Having to kill an enemy for a buff that last only for a few second isn't worth it.

    Post-rebalance: Get it! They changed how mist are created. Mists are now created just by hitting enemies. This procs very often due to all the demon slayer multi-hits.


    [​IMG] Gloom Sword: Giga Blade: Opens a portal with a multi-hit attack, following by a dash with a triple stab attack, and finally an explosion.Modern: Triple stab attack, followed by opening a portal with a multi-hit attack, followed by a dash attack with fixed contact damage with a direct hit and explosion finisher. Full invincibility.Consumes 5 clear cube fragments.

    Level 3: Increase number of triple-stab multi-hits and attack speed increase.
    Level 6: The small dagger/spikes/w.e. hits generate explosions
    Level 9: Finisher has a range increase. Room wide.

    [​IMG] Predator Galloah: Summons Predator Galloah to attack enemies. 3 “eyes” appear above the character which attach to enemies dealing damage over time, then exploding once the skill duration completes.
    Pre-rebalance: Galloah is kind of slow in detecting enemies. As each "eyes" attack an enemies they get bigger and deal more damage (?). You have no super armor while casting Galloah so be careful! The areas where the final explosion are depend on where the "eyes" are.

    Post-rebalance: You have super armor now. Galloah is better at detecting enemies. Attack interval is reduced. Galloah also heals you, by a tiny bit but its something!


    [​IMG] Destiny of Phnom: Sword Demon Deimus catches Phnom from trying to devour the Demon Slayer. Surrounds the character with a red circle then performs several multi-stage slashes followed by a finisher
    Pre-rebalance: The multi-stage slashes are kinda slow. You have super armor during the duration of the skills, however this still means you can still get hit in your cocoon. The multi-stage slashes do have a slight hit-stun.

    Post-rebalance: The multi-stage slashes are A LOT faster. You also have invincible frame now so you don't have to worry to much about getting hit.


    Chronicle 2 Sets
    3 piece:
    Heaven cleavers bleeding level increase by 6.
    Soaring blades-draw cooldown decreased by 20%.
    Blade retraction cooldown decreased by 20%
    6 piece:
    Soaring blades- draw damage increase by 10%. Cooldown reduced by 20%.
    Soaring blades- thrash damage increase by 10%. Cooldown reduced by 30%
    Soaring blades- impale damage increase by 10%. Cooldown reduced by 30%
    Soaring blades- reinforce buffs are increased by 5%
    Blade retraction damage increased by 10%
    Wild Thrash damage increase by 10%
    9 piece:
    Soaring blades- draw damage increase by 20%
    Soaring blades- thrash damage increase by 20%
    Soaring blades- imaple damage increase by 20%
    Blade retraction damage increase by 20%
    Soaring blades- reinforce buff increased by 5%
    Wild thrash attack speed increase by 100% ​


    3 piece:
    Soaring blades-draw cooldown reduced by 15%. ​
    2 additional blades are added.
    Changed the properties of the first hit that knocks back enemies.​
    6 piece:
    Soaring blades-draw damage increase by 5%.
    Cooldown reduced by 20%.
    2 additional blades are added.
    Gap between blades reduced by 40%.
    Interval duration reduced by 40%
    Berserk strength buff increase by 10%
    9 piece:
    Soaring blades damage increase by 30%.
    Cooldown reduced by 30%.
    Gap between blades reduced by 40%.
    Interval duration reduced by 40%.
    Sword demon strike increase by 20%.
    Deimus size increase by 30%.

    3 piece:
    Bleeding blades damage increase by 25%
    Cooldown reduced by 20%
    6 piece:
    Berserk strength buff increase by 10%
    Wild Thrash damage increase by 30%.
    Wild thrash cooldown reduced by 20%
    Sanguine choreography damage increase by 30%
    Sanguine choreograpgy cooldown reduced by 20%
    9 piece:
    Berserk strength buff increase by 10%
    Demon sword strike damage increase by 40%
    Demon sword strike cooldown decrease by 30%
    Deimus size increase by 30%
    Leaping distance decrease by 30%

    Chronicle 3 sets
    3 piece:
    Berserk attack speed and movement speed increase by 3%.
    Increase bleeding blades final hit by 100%.
    Bleeding bladesreduce cooldown by 65%.
    Bleeding blades multi-hit reduce by 90%
    Bleeding blades mp consumption decrease by 65%
    Bleeding blades clear cube consumption reduced by 1.
    6 piece:
    Sword demon obliteration multi-hits are deleted.
    Finisher receive a 150% damage increase.
    Reduce cooldown by 65%.
    Reduce clear cube consumption by 1.
    9 piece:
    Destiny of Phnom multi-hits are deleted.
    Finishing explosion receive a 250% damage increase.
    Cooldown reduce by 65%.

    This set focus only on one skill: Sanguine choreography
    3 piece:

    Increase number of doppel by 1.
    Increase number of doppel per enemies by 1.
    Decrease cooldown by 10%
    6 piece:
    Increase number of doppel by 2.
    Increase damage by 5%.
    Decrease cooldown by 20%.
    Increase clear cube consumption by 1.
    9 piece:
    Increase number of doppel by 2.
    Increase number of doppel per enemies by 1.
    Increase damage by 5%.
    Decrease cooldown by 30%.
    Increase clear cube consumption by 1.
    6 piece increase damage by 5% may be wrong, need clarification

    3 piece:

  7. This class isn't weak, it's just not very fast and weaker than other strong classes, it's still fun as hell, here's a build.

    The tp's are what I recommend
    1 in Fury for strength increase
    1 in shadow clone so you can put 2 on one target
    1 in barrage to make it a million times better
    max blood demon seal for damage
    max expertise for overall damage
    dump in SDO for damage there

    I dunno.From the numerous translations i have seen, the awakening passive does.

    For every monster you kill, there is a chance that they will create a mist that you need to get to touch in order to get a stackable +Skill Damage buff.

    Oh, it says that the skill doesn't work if you kill monsters that were not in standing and down positions. Everyone suggests leaving this at 1 because it is too troublesome and situational. Back then, this skill added fixed damage when you attacked someone in Devilish state.


    This info is from the JDNF wiki that was recently updated.

    I had a lot of fun leveling a Demon Slayer up to Iris stage, but she really needs that Winter update buff. Here's my shameless plug from when I had fun with her

    You absolutely max Fury for the additional strength buff, attack speed, and longer buff duration. Nobody has said this yet, why the heck would you not make this a priority in maxing?
    Shadow Clone is not worth the TP IMO, it won't make it that much better against single targets.
    Yes to TP Barrage
    Yes to max Blood Demon Seal. Maxing the TP decreases the damage interval by 50%, which doubles the potential fixed damage output if an enemy stays still on all puddles dropped. It's fixed damage, but a shitload of fixed damage
    No to Expertise, the returns on it are horrible
    I suggest maxing Hardened Spiral (Lv.30 skill) for the additional damage, getting the TP Whip Sword grab that allows you to inflict full damage on ungrabbable enemies, and putting the rest in Bloody Dance (Lv. 35 skill) for more general damage
    I do not suggest putting points in the Lv. 45 skill where you poop out Deimus to slash enemies, all it does is make him do 2 more slashes before the finisher, per level.

    Refer to this and use Google translate to try to make sense of the skill descriptions and why they should be maxed, kept to a certain level, or left alone.

    The best Demon Slayer set in general is that one that makes lvl 45 and 70 skills into one big bloody explosion.

    This class is ass. I quit Demon Slayer at level 25 when I realized it sucked then and it wasn't gonna get any better. Terrible class design. Let's see if the Winter Update can help her.

    I mean even Avenger at one point was really terrible and now that class is a beast, and Monks were pretty shitty a long time ago.. so maybe...

    I legitimately think this class is worse than Male Grappler.

    She has beautiful animations, but god her damage is severely lacking in normal gameplay. Skills like Doppelganger and Galloah are only situationally strong. Neople nerfed her core skills (Hardened Spiral and Blood Flurry). She also needs a REAL awakening passive, one that doesn't make you climb 10 hills and swim rivers just to get a piece of candy.

    What Enoch said, which is a Chron 3 called Bronx Mine Here's Bronx Mine in action:


    Someone else said that the only set that is currently viable in Anton is the one that changes the properties of Whip Sword- Barrage (no longer knocksback, adds more sprouting swords and shortens the intervals, etc). That's a Chron 2 set

    And yes. She's pretty crippled as it is right now because the way her character plays, not really because she's severely lacking in damage in general like Monk was back then.

    At endgame, relative to the rest of the cast, she is definitely lacking in overall damage output while still displacing mobs like crazy in OV content (which is why 9 Bronx Mine is so important). That DS had burning buffs and used the old absolute best Ghost Knight weapon the 85 epic GS Cloudsplitter Sword which used to be bugged to only apply the +50% damage increase mod and not additionally the -30% critical damage mod. That might as well have been a +15 liberation GS instead.

    The C2 "Lurker" set brings her to a viable DPS level for Anton, but requires perfect positioning to deal all hits which depends heavily on the super hold infinite meta right now (hint: Neople has stated several times they don't like this play at all).

    Don't worry, Demon Slayer is listed as one of the classes to be injected with roids in early 2015.
